The Story Behind the Jasmine Bag

Every now and then a piece comes along that becomes more than just a bag.
The Jasmine Bag was one of those pieces.
As makers, we spend countless hours thinking about designs, colours, materials and whether something will resonate with the people who discover our work. Sometimes we get it right. Sometimes we're surprised.
This bag surprised me.
Made from rich whiskey leather and genuine leopard hair-on-hide, the Jasmine was created on my workbench amongst leather offcuts, coffee cups and the usual creative chaos that comes with running a handmade business.
It wasn't designed around trends.
It wasn't designed around what was popular.
It was simply created because I loved the combination of textures, colours and western-inspired details.
Then Jasmine saw it.
Out of every bag in the workshop, she chose that one.
Not the biggest.
Not the fanciest.
Not the most complicated.
Just this one.
The rabbit bag taught me something similar recently. The pieces we connect with most are rarely the ones chosen with logic. They're chosen because something about them speaks to us.
Jasmine immediately connected with this bag.
And honestly, that was all the confirmation I needed.

Every Jasmine Bag is handcrafted using genuine leather and hair-on-hide, meaning no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
The natural markings, textures and patterns in the hide ensure that each bag tells its own story.
It's one of the reasons I love working with natural materials so much.
Perfection isn't the goal.
Character is.
More Than A Bag
One of the greatest gifts of building Wyld Revolution Co has been watching my children grow alongside it.
They've seen sketches become products.
They've watched leather become handbags.
They've stood beside me at markets and celebrated every little win.
And occasionally, they remind me what really matters.
Sometimes a bag is just a bag.
Sometimes it becomes a memory.
